BATMAN: "VENOM" Legends of the Dark Knight set of 5

$23.95

WHAT IF YOU WERE NOT REALLY A "Super" hero? and someone died in front of you because of it? That's how Batman: Legends of the dark Knight issues 16-20 begin.

In a scene reminiscient of "War of the Worlds" or "I, Robot", a child drowns in a automobile tragedy, with Batman unable to save the victim. His lack of super-human strength being blamed.

He begins to take the drug known as "VENOM", the same substance used by Bane to achieve monstrous strength.  We watch his slow emotional and mental deterioiration in a dark take spun by fame dDC scribe Denny O'Neil (remmeber Speedy using drugs in an award winning GL-GA series from the 1970's?--also written by Denny O'Neil)

Batman then goes through the "hitting bottom" process (people close to him shunning his maniacal behavior)

and the "redemption process" of beating his addiction.  This is a GREAT storyline and makes a substantial

gift of a gripping tale.
